Pandemic•ation is simply a vacation during a pandemic.
Maybe it’s the rebellious nature of being told we should stay locked in or the temptation of seeing others enjoying their pandemications.
But if you’re comfortable enough , I highly suggest a getaway to reset , refocus , and realign.

Research
The requirements of every state or country change several times. Whether there are no requirements or required test before you go , you want to stay updated. Check HERE for updates.
Also check the CDC website HERE !
Testing
Even if it’s not required , still get tested. Check your local areas for free testing. The test is quick and painless. You can get results in 24 hours or more. Get tested before and/or after your pandemication.
Planning
Most airlines are keeping the middle seat empty, boarding from the back of the plane , offering disinfecting wipes and more . Choose the one that best suits your needs.

Based on your preference , choose a hotel or Airbnb with the qualifications you’re looking for . Don’t be afraid to ask questions .

1. Masks

Did you know hand washing is the most effective way to prevent the spread of germs ?
If soap and water are not readily available, you can use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
3. Disinfecting Wipes / Sprays
Make sure to wipe down / spray surfaces . You can never be too safe .
4. Social Distance
Try and maintain a safe distance from a large group of people.
5. Questionnaires / Searches
You might be asked to take mandatory questionnaires or randomly searched .
Changes
There will be some changes regarding tourist attractions, buffets , certain excursions and more . Just be aware and get information before you go .
Travel Shaming

Great tips we can all put to use! The Pandemic Bingo made me lol. I’ve seen more people using airplane seat covers – I’m going to have to check them out! Definitely a great idea packing your own little kit of necessities!
Yes I’ve seen some people use them and also suitcase covers . Thank you for reading .
Brilliant and practical tips. Thanks for sharing
Thank you for reading .
Such great tips! I haven’t been on a trip yet since march but I may be planning one in 2021! 🙂
I couldn’t stay still for too long . Try to go somewhere close to home.
Great blog post. Very informative. I am on vacay during Covid-19 and it’s the best time to travel.
It really is , less people , cheaper flights , and cleaner environments.
These are excellent tips. I agree about keeping hand sanitiser and gel at all times. I also brought an extra mask in case we had to stay longer in the airport.
These items are small and can fit easily in your personal or carry on bag . Thank you for being safe .
Really amazing tips! Definitely worth getting things like this, didnt even know about airplane seat cover.
Yes the airplane seat cover is new to me , there’s also suitcase covers .
Very good tips for persons whose gonna trave in these days.. Great
Thank you for reading , hope these tips help you .
These are some great tips about traveling during a Pandemic. Especially the packing tips like bringing an airplane seat cover. Oh yeah love the hoodie.

Love this! I just came from Cancun a week ago. As long as you’re safe, I say see the world!
Cancún was very safe and clean , I have to go back .
I was just talking with someone about travel shaming! The worst! Travel safe – and often! 😉
No travel shaming over here , I rather travel now than later .
Hahaha! I LOVE this! I know it’s a lot for everyone, but sometimes some kind of normalcy is needed. And a nice little vaycay is just what I need girl!
Yes , we all need one.
This pandemic has definitely changed the lives of many. We need some excitement after all this
Yes , we all need a celebration after all of the this .
These are great tips!! No pandemi-cation shaming over here, I’m ready to go somewhere!
I had three pandemic•ations and I’m planning more , no shaming over here either .
Love the pandemication bingo! These are some good tips.
Yes it’s a fun quick game , thank you 😊
Slaying AND staying safe!! Loving your airport look!
Thank you , it’s why I started Smoovee Travel.
Nice, cute outfits 🥰
Thank you , swimsuits are from Shein and my hoodie is from my travel apparel line .
Thank you for sharing! It’s so important for people to be careful and considerate during these times. I was working as a flight attendant until 2 months ago and it was upsetting how many people didn’t want to wear a mask.
I actually saw someone almost get arrested for refusing to wear a mask . It’s the most simple form of respect during these times.
These are great tips! I probably won’t be travelling anytime soon, but I think your tips are very helpful for someone who is and who wants to be as safe as possible!
Thank you , I hope someone can use these tips for future travel.
Good advice. I just got back from Dubai where 100% of the people wore masks because there’s a $750 fine. During the international flights I had a whole row to myself but flying domestic on American the flights were packed including the middle seat. Take precautions.
I think the mask fine should be enforced because some people are refusing. I also was lucky to get a whole row to myself.
I love this post. Great tips especially the constantly checking your destination’s requirements. I love how you map out how to have a safe vacation while being considerate of others.
Thank you so much for reading , hopefully it helped.
Thanks for useful tips. The number 5 tip really needed: “Bring extra money just in case you’re asked to do a mandatory test “
Yes , I know some tests cost $75 and up . But you can avoid this by just looking up the requirements.
We aren’t traveling just yet, but we certainly are yearning to. I didn’t know that airplane seat covers were a thing! Thanks for the great tip!
Thank you , maybe try a small getaway close to home.
